Substrate-specific primers. Alkali-resistant primer for fresh render, anti-corrosive primer for steelwork, stabilising primer for chalky or friable surfaces.
Step 4: Topcoat application
Two coats of high-build elastomeric or premium acrylic membrane, applied by brush, roller, or airless spray depending on facade type and exposure.
Step 5: Sealant and detail check
Window perimeters, expansion joints, and penetrations are inspected and resealed where required. This step is often skipped by other contractors, which is exactly why their paint fails first at the joints.
