How we keep people safe on your building

  • Certified anchors first. We check that the roof anchors are in date before anyone goes over the edge. Where a building has no suitable certified anchors, we can install and certify them as part of the job.
  • Two ropes on every drop. Rope access technicians work on two ropes rigged from certified anchors, so there is always a backup.
  • Equipment checked on the roof. Every harness, rope and device is checked before anyone goes over the edge.
  • Exclusion zones below the work. Areas under the drop are closed off, and we plan around entries, balconies and car parks with the building manager.
  • A rescue plan on every job. It is written before work starts and the crew knows it.
  • Residents stay in place. Most of our work is done in occupied buildings, and nobody needs to move out.

Standards we work to

  • AS/NZS ISO 22846 for rope access systems
  • AS/NZS 1891.4 for the selection, use and inspection of anchors and height safety equipment
  • AS/NZS 5532 for single-point anchor devices
  • The NSW Work Health and Safety Regulation for work at height

What you get after the job

A photo report of the work. For anchor inspections, each anchor is tested, tagged and recorded, so your building has the records it needs. See anchor point inspection.
