Dee Why: Eight Strata Buildings Washed, Repaired and Repainted
The site
A strata complex in Dee Why made up of eight rendered apartment buildings with balconies, set among gardens and palms.
The challenge
The whole complex needed the same treatment: a clean façade, repairs to the render, then a full repaint, including balcony areas, delivered building by building on a site where people live.
What we did
1. Pressure washing
Each façade was washed down before any repairs or paint, to remove dirt, growth and loose material.

2. Render repairs
Defects in the render were repaired and finished flush on the ropes, so the surface was sound before coating.

3. Painting by rope access
The façades were painted drop by drop. The first photo shows the new colour going on next to the old finish on the same wall.

4. Balconies
Balcony walls were painted from inside the balconies, with surfaces below protected.

Result
All eight buildings were washed, repaired and repainted. We did not take a matching before photo on this job, so the in-progress photo in step 3 is the clearest comparison of old and new.
